Monika monitors hospital food regeneration trolleys

Monika announces a new module of its networked monitoring system specifically designed for ensuring the safety of cook chill food served on hospital wards. This module works in conjunction with other Monika modules, allowing refrigeration, ware washing and other appliances to be monitored alongside the food trolleys as part of one system. As with all Monika monitoring, data collected is independent of the manufacturer's control systems, ensuring an independent audit of operating temperatures.

The new software allows up to four meal cycles per day to be established. Once each trolley commences its re-heating cycle, a progress bar shows the status and temperature of food throughout the regeneration period. Cold chamber temperatures are simultaneously monitored. The networking structure establishes which ward the trolley has been delivered to, so it can be located in the event of an alert. Alarms will be centrally generated through the Monika local and remote alarm facilities, enabling prompt corrective action to be taken by staff. Due diligence records are available by individual ward and by individual trolley.
